STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS VERSE
The following writings are by
Dale Wicks
|
|
|
|
|
|
Where is heaven and where is hell?
Both states exist together
and are
entered and exited
by a turn of the face.
|
|
WATER AND SALT
We are of the stream
that comes down from the mount
on our way dissolved salts enter in The water is spirit,
the salt is the earth
The solution that was meant
for a time
then they enter the sea
and the waters rise free
lest the waters stay mixed,
determine to fix
to the salt and remain in the brine. |
|
|
|
DYING
When I consider dying
it is more the daily passing away
of the illusion that I presumed was life
For the real me does not die,
and the real me looks quite different
and weighs very little.

WHAT THE ZEN?!?
I
see what is, through intuition perceive
that
by ebbing , this flows to me
I am
as one who lives by the sea, in the desert
Atop a mountain, in a valley, by a river
in the midst of an open prairie
Floating in the ocean and under the sea
walking in forests, surrounded by trees
with winter in snow and cold
with spring in the rain and new life
with summer in the heat and sweat
with fall in the transformation and color
in company of stars and planets
amongst creation, in solitude
I also see what isn't
and have no affinity for the city
Much debris and pollution
Much commotion and confusion
an unnatural example and the flow forced
as many of the inhabitants therein collect to follow
what's supposedly happening.

THE TRUTH : Love and
Truth is what you are. Hidden by what you think you are.
|
|
|
|
|
|
THUNDER AND LIGHTNING
Who can hear and see
in the darkness of night
what the thunder does say
and the
lightning does write?
|
|
PROTECTION
We stand to lose
much more than gain
when erecting walls
to protect from pain |
|
|
|
EFFORTLESS
How great the
change
from row boat to sail
when affections shift to inside the veil |
|
LIFE
is that
which cannot die
it's not based in flesh, blood, and bone
it has always been and always will be
confusion comes when
one won't see.
|
|
WHEN
will the fetters.
that make timid the heart
be cast off as nothing
and souls free to impart? |
|
|
|
|
|
OUR WORDS? ENEMY OF FRIEND?
There is a Word that goes forth
and never in vain
When we cling to the precious
and from worthless refrain
To be sensitive to this
May be a life long endeavor
But if Love is the author
can there be an enemy?.
never.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
ENERGY
is bountiful
when abiding in the vine
resting in all action
no waste in this design.
|
|
THE GAMBLE
Setting aside sanity
to slide the slippery slope
Seemingly void of internal compass
Carefree child casting caution
to the clouds
Considering not
all the ones who lay broken
|
|
|
|
WHERE IS OFFENCE ?
When a matter applies
and
confronts the heart
the reaction is stop
yet, The Light pushes start
|
|
|
|
|
|
LAZY : Why break the mold shrugs complacency.
As the plastic container.....blurs what they see. |

|
CONSTRAINT
To let judgments collapse
our freedom within
To accept such compromise.
Now that's a sin.
