POWER OF THE OPEN HAND

Let's consider the things we grip tightly
and give them life form, say a bird
Now we've crushed out the breath
All we're left with is death
And never opening the hand
We don't see where we stand
That all we possess is a corpse
Then we experience one who is different
A hand that holds nothing at all
Tho it is empty indeed
There is no sense of need
This understanding of power
They are able to shower
On the hand laying open to receive

TERRENUS

The world ..can't seem to change it...or rearrange it...only recourse, don't engage...no ring on my finger...no love lost...you birth edicts of whitewash ..might as well paint it black...spun yourself into a tizzy...make the inhabitants dizzy...heads be spinning...there's no winning.... as half clasps separate poles...each claiming victory...while house divides and nothing stands...there's no game ..it be a shame...if that was what it's all about...the beast feeds...the needy plead...the greedy ride in carriages...and get their own theme song...lunacy...the good die young...a-holes stick around forever...don't find it clever...lest this is a prison scenario...and we all inmates be...to learn by incarceration...twas not meant to be...the way of eternity.
 

Spin Out

Spinning wheel turns
sending sparks of healing light
bringing  order to the chaos
and a shining in the night.

Our members be under foray
By instinct connecting the hand to the head
To keep it from flying away

Belief, Experience, Agenda
Building supplies to construct a place
A box of perimeters known
Sanctuary for the familiar
Abode of analysis and judgment
with shelves neatly storing conclusions
Safety from fear, the unknown
But perils exist, intrinsically bound in
the mind that chooses this stance
Pride shadows, Rightness stumbles
world bound affections warp clarity
Morphing safe haven to holding cell
What was heaven becomes hell
Help from what is, A type taken from nature
Ever shining as the sun, ever blowing as the wind
Looking into is blinding, altering vision
Currents aid in drying, producing thirst
Shining sun and blowing wind
Their ways seem harsh and primitive
as often nature does
Within the means, a voice entreats
Let go the fear
Let go the pain
Let go the husk
Let go the highness
Consider your way
and that of faith's
step out and see
how truth in love
can set you free
