        Dear Dale
I have spent the last two days viewing your art and poetry on the internet site. I have been so amazed. Your works have such a healing component to them. Art is so spiritual, and you have an amazing gift in being able to express a journey of struggle and life's realities through your writing and art. I just love it. I relate to so much of it. Thank you for putting these works on the internet where people like myself who are struggling with life, but want personal growth & authentic relationship with God thru it all, can access your gift of _expression and personally benefit from it in our journeys.
Thanks again
               Ali

I own two of Dale's original pieces.  One is a huge conversation starter (and now a staple) in my restaurant and the other makes my wife happy as it is the centerpiece in our living room.  I have never before bought art, but Dale's style is unique, definitely not boring and his use of color and texture make everything stand out.
I also own a few prints from Dale and the common sizes make buying a frame easy.
Thank you and I look forward to buying more and more.

displaying a veritable font of creativity on his site in word and pictures. Deep thinker who also gives food for thought, for those that wish to develop the sight of their inner  eye, there is nourishment to be found here.

We looked at your work in our "Color and Design" summer forum for art students. The class focused on artists that were using the Internet for promoting their work. You were definitely a favorite of our class. You have a wonderfully innovative perspective on the juxtaposition of color and design.

Always nice to come back here. Great images and commentaries and also very sensical art. Here is someone I feel is near of my own visualization of reality. I also feel strangely attracted by the same vaguely animist spirit... I would nevertheless argue that his paintings are not abstract works. Abstraction was a way to go out of reality and has so been defined by its inceptors, Mondrian, Klee, Kandinsky and others. What I see here are paintings that describe reality... albeit not in the traditional sense of the first degree image that projects on the retina, more a visualization of an intellectual understanding. -l

Cool Artwork from Mr. Wicks, if you have not been by his site give it a look and I am sure you will be going back for more and often.  While you are reading this I am at his site soaking up all the beautiful Artwork...hehe.  - t

Dale Wicks has a fantastic view of color and shape that pounds every painting into a message. I love bright color and sharp contrast in art, so I found myself enjoying the Dale's subjects from first glance. As I studied the relationships between objects, I found my meaning too.-carl

A very great artist and poet.-lib

I try to visit as many web sites as I can and I enjoyed very much reading your poetry. I think you can learn a lot through the eyes of a poet. That is why I like going into cyberspace and visiting with other people. It gives you a better understanding of what they know, think, and feel.  Thanks and best regards, Bill.

this is a site full of heart, a good one. an excellent site.-mz

Searching images on Google for meditation pictures, I came across your site.  Your work is beautiful.  Most have are full of peace while a few others illicit joy and others sadness.  Unfortunately, I am unable to purchase anything at this point but hopefully in the future.  Thank you for sharing your work.  tmf

WOW!!! Awesome art!!  Now I just wish I could afford an original!  I love the sunflowers since I seem to collect them and have two sunflower tattoos.  If I was not coming into my slow season I would purchase a couple of prints right now.  Business will pick up in the spring and summer and I think one of your prints will be my birthday present to myself in May!!!

Hi, from another artist named Wicks.
Personally, as an artist that has been painting for over 50 years, and never sold one painting, I admire your artwork.  It's sophisticated  yet unpretentious.
Don Wicks

Your work gives me a different perspective on things.  It can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be.

Dale and Darnell have the coolest art! Darnell can turn rocks into beautiful spiritual creations. Dale, he's a little like a rock - hard headed - but he's a seer of visions and beauty in all things. All sons and daughters of light share their talents with the world. Shine on!
Yours truly,
David

    very nice art works -f

just found Dale's pages and have fallen in love with his art. What color and line! a visual treat!!!- mary

Darnell’s art speaks to the Spirit inside me. She brings gifts to mortal men and women by looking into the Heart of God. I love her and I love her inspired work!
Dale Wicks brings reality of life to my attention. Through his art I see the beauty and the pain in everyday occurrences. Dale’s art causes me to stop and think about the world in which I live. I have several paintings in my home .I love them all.
Dale and Darnell Wicks opened my eyes to the world of art.
Rachael Wicks was a very talented artist. She had the ability to inspire others through poetry, music, paintings. Her beautiful face was a masterpiece painted by God and a Gift to Dale and Darnell. Thank you for sharing her with us. She is beautiful!
Sincerely,Cindy

Hi Dale, my names Renee. I have been doing an assignment and came across yourpainting 'Fascinating Journey'. I love it! I was just wondering if you could
possibly tell me what possessed you to make this picture the way you did? The
colors? the shapes? Is there any particular meaning behind it?
I just cant get enough of this picture!
Love your work...
Hope to hear soon.

       To a good friend:
I don't know how long ago it was but I was depressed. You might recall when I came over and you gave me a smile face picture . You don't know how much it helped me at that time.
Love, Romanos

       Nice presentation -sally

It always amazes me the ability you have not only with your "Art" but the "Creative Ability" you have with the words you use to "Fantasize" about "It".
Your Very Objective sister-in-law, with a great sense of Humor.
Love, Mary

enjoy so much. They make me think about everything. Thanks for being mind-provoking.- o

Holy crap your art work is absolutely gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful...

An artist, a poet.  site will help you see the world thru new eyes and I think you'll like what you see!-d

Your work looks great.  I like the evolution!  Please continue!

I am not an artsy person and normally do not look at paintings.  When I found yours – it is not easily describable, they were just beautiful, and exactly what I need.

         My favorite art site...Thanx

         Beautiful poetry and great artwork-cindy

         Dear Dale,
These paintings are fantastic - - I especially love “God is both sides.” Very inspiring.

         Yours, David

Hi, I am a Zen teacher and really like your work.  I would like to use “meditation” on my web site.  If I do I would of course credit you and have a link to your site.  I hope you will agree.  That is a wonderful picture.  Please let me know if this is ok.  Thanks

Comments about mailer, "Painting of the week"

       Dear Dale,
I have felt now and since the day I saw "The Oneness of Nature" that you are a true artist which means you don't fit into the conventional idea of professionalism. The beauty of what you do is that it is not conventional and speaks to people in their moment of need. Not necessarily yours. You have put your heart and soul, pain, and joy out there for all to see which takes a tremendous amount of courage. I wish to remain on the mailing list so that through your weekly paintings and the thoughts you write down I can see how you're doing after this tragedy, how you're recovering, and how you continue to show us your strength in the paintings you create, and I pray every day that you find the strength to continue to share with us, the undeserving, the tremendous gifts you have been blessed with.
Sincerely, Linda

         About "Get Lit"

     About "Rachel's Visit"

That was the most beautiful _expression of the cycle of life and death I have seen/read in a long while. Thanks for filling the earth with such blessings.
         Shelly

 About "Trouble" painting and poem

      I like the red tree.
It defies convention by living while not bearing leaves or fruit.
     It simply is.
Sitting alone on a hill for all to see, it does not try to simply "blend in" or adopt the
     colors of other trees.
It stands nobly arrayed in the color of passion, love, & life.
Perhaps conceived through worry or concern, it will not be defined by those things,
      it  answers "not a word".
And in the ultimate silent response to questions, it thrives.
     Vibrant, solid, unyielding, living, breathing,....Red.

About "Loving Memory" painting and poem

Dale,   This really struck a chord...both painting and poem.
     Love you, mom

Hola Dale:  Gracias por "loving memory" y el poema.  Magnificos los dos.  Excuse me
 for the language.
What  I said is:  Thanks for "loving memory" and the poem.  Both are wonderful.
My best regards to you.
          About "Butterfly Affect"
I like this uplifting, warm picture, Dale.  It is what is needed now--in the midst of the horrific plight of the people in the Gulf region--some contemplative thoughts and hope.
Hanny

THIS PAINTING OF THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT IS HAPPY AND VERY
         COLORFUL. VERY NICE!

Dale, I love you and Darnell.  Your work sits behind me at the office and motivates me.  It is a painting of a man in deep thought with Jesus in his head on a cross.  It says “Love Ya Bro Happy 40”.  Thank you Dale for the painting, it was a wonderful gift and has blessed me. You are an exceptional artist and I do love to get your poems and pictures!  May the Lord Jesus bless and keep you.  Love Marc

we LOVE Giving 1...we are trying to get money together to buy it (I hope it's still available). It's a great metaphor for teachers...you can't tell who's giving and who's receiving...just the way it works when you are a professor.. you give and get at the same time!

         KC

Thank you for the art show! I love the brilliant colors!

     Dale,
I look forward to your mailings. It gives me a breath of fresh air during a busy work day. Also, I  like to know people I do business with on a personal level. I think our society has gotten too indifferent towards individuals & this has contributed to a lot of our problems these days. Please keep doing as you have been doing.
Thanks & God Bless,
Mary

I share your sentiments exactly.  It’s what I’ve tried to put into words for years.  Thank you.  Carmen

       Dale,
I think your art is great buddy.  I always look forward to seeing new works and hearing the story behind the production.  It's funny how me simply searching for an image on the web led me to you and your site.
I too am very sarcastic and love to use my humor to lighten the mood at the school here.  No matter what I do or say - it's always misinterpreted by the weak and ignorant.  There is so much more to life than being serious ALL THE TIME.  You obviously have a sincere grasp on that concept.
 Have a great day!!
 Matthew

Your art is unique and so are you!!!  (I started to say “weird”)  anyway, I am sad that you left us.  I loved our visit when you came to see the houses of the crazy ladies of 1st. Street.  Love, Suzi
